KJHS Volleyball updates: The game at Rockridge will now be played Thursday, February 8. The game at Sherrard will now be played Thursday, February 22. Good luck and Go Big Blue!

The KJHS January Character Trait

Due to some unforeseen circumstances, we have to make a last minute menu switch at KJHS today. Lunch will be grilled cheese, PB&J, or salad.

The KJHS boys basketball game at home vs. Sherrard and the volleyball game at Sherrard are both CANCELED tomorrow, 1/17. Sherrard has canceled school and all after school activities due to poor road conditions that still exist in their district. Practices tomorrow will be as follows: Boys Basketball - 3:30 pm-5:00 pm @ KJHS Wrestling - 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm KJHS Dance - 4:00 pm-5:30 pm @ KHS (Main Gym) Volleyball - 5:00 pm-7:00 pm @ KJHS (7th and 8th grade) KJHS Cheer - 7:00 pm-9:00 pm @ KJHS Thank you for your patience and flexibility this week with all the adjustments!

As we prepare to return to school tomorrow, please be cautious walking on sidewalks and driving around KJHS. While the custodians and maintenance workers did a great job clearing paths, the snow and ice is still impacting the steps, sidewalks, and streets. Thanks and we look forward to seeing everyone in the morning!

Attention: The parking lot and front entrance of the high school are not completely clear of snow/ice due to the cold temperatures. Pease be careful when entering and exiting.

Attention: Tonight's high school home boys basketball game against Annawan is still scheduled to be played. 6pm tip-off for the JV. Varsity to follow.

We will be having the planned menu of cheeseburger macaroni for lunch on Wednesday January 17 at Mable Woolsey. Also, please remember that students go outside at feels like 15.  Please check the weather and send your child with appropriate outside or snow gear.   Remember to be cautious walking on sidewalks and driving around the school as the snow is still impacting sidewalks and streets.

Tonight's KJHS volleyball game at Rockridge is CANCELED. A rescheduled date will hopefully be announced in the next few days. Practice schedule for today is as follows: Boys Basketball - 3:30 pm-5:00 pm Wrestling - 3:30 pm-5:00 pm 7th Grade Volleyball - 5:00 pm-6:30 pm 8th Grade Volleyball - 6:30 pm-8:00 pm **Due to the cold temperatures, wind chills, and road conditions in some areas, please let your coach know if you/your child will NOT be able to make it to practice.**

Due to the extreme cold temperatures, all Knoxville CUSD #202 schools will be closed on Tuesday, January 16, 2024. Stay safe and stay warm!

All Knoxville CUSD #202 schools will be closed on Monday, January 15th in observance of Martin Luther King Junior Day.

KJHS Wrestling will practice tomorrow (Monday), 1/15, from 3:30-5:00 pm. If weather forces any changes, we will get that information out ASAP.

Attention: Due to the inclement weather, the high school wrestling meet at Kewanee High School that was scheduled for tomorrow has been cancelled.

Due to the inclement weather and anticipated hazardous roads conditions, tonight's KJHS Wrestling meet at Farmington is canceled. There will be no KJHS practices this afternoon/evening as well. Please stay safe if you have to travel.
