The USAF Band of Mid-America will be at Knoxville High School on January 27, 2024 at 7:00 pm. The admission is FREE and open to the public however, ticket reservations are required. You can reserve your ticket(s) at http://afbandtix.com/liberty/

Due to the icy and hazardous road conditions, there will be NO extracurricular activities at KHJS today, Monday, 1/22. The volleyball game vs. Mercer County is canceled. More information about the 7th grade boys basketball Regional game will be shared as it is received.

The KJHS 7th grade boys will play against West Central tomorrow, 1/22 at 6:15 pm at West Prairie (Colchester). The bus will leave at 4:00 pm.

Due to gym space limitations in Abingdon, the KJHS volleyball game on Tuesday, 1/23 will begin at 4:00 pm. As a reminder, the game will be played at Abingdon-Avon High School. Bus time will be 2:45 pm. Go Big Blue!

Updates: The high school boys basketball team plays at home today against Farmington. JV tips off at noon. Varsity to follow. The varsity girls team plays at West Central high school today at 1pm in the LTC Tournament. Good luck to everyone.

KJHS Updates for Saturday: Wrestling @ Rockridge Invite - meet starts at 9:00 am, bus leaves at 6:15 am Cheer practice 8:00 am - 10:00 am 7th grade Boys Basketball Regional - POSTPONED - will be played Monday at 6:15 pm.

Attention: Tonight's high school boys basketball game at Kewanee Wethersfield is still scheduled to be played. 5:30 pm JV tip-off. Varsity game to follow.

Please read about our upcoming Book Blast! MABLE WOOLSEY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL is about to embark on a school-wide book drive unlike any other! Starting on 1/22/24, the school will launch their Books Are Fun Book Blast. This literacy initiative helps our students build their home libraries while also helping the school to get more books and school supplies. No matter what, this program ensures all the students at the school will take home at least one new, fun, age-appropriate book for their home libraries. However, with the help of the community, friends, and family, students can earn up to 10 books! How does this all work? Students send out invitations to friends and family members to help them reach their goal of taking home all 10 books on their grade-level list. So, if you receive an invitation from a student you know, please click on the link in the invitation and help that child by contributing on their personal contribution page. 100% of the contributions they receive first go towards the books on their book list and then help other students needing books too. Any remaining contributions after every student earns all 10 books will go toward more books for the school and classroom supplies. KJHS Boys Basketball update: 7th Grade Regional game is Saturday, January 20 vs. West Central. Game time is 12:15 pm. Game will be played at West Prairie (Colchester) - 600 S Hun St., Colchester, IL. 8th Grade Boys Basketball will play a makeup game vs. Sherrard on Wednesday, 1/24 at KJHS. This will be an 8th grade ONLY matchup. Game will begin at 5:30 pm. 8th Grade Regional time and opponent is TBD.
