GAME DAY!! Our 8th Grade Girls Basketball team plays tonight against Illini Bluffs for the Sectional Championship and a chance to go to the State tournament. The game will be held at St. Philomena School in Peoria and tips off at 6:00 pm. Good luck and Go Bullets!!
Congratulations to our 8th grade boys basketball team on a hard fought win over Kewanee last night at home! In the process, they secured the travel banner and set themselves up to control their own destiny for a conference title if they win out. Great job boys!!

All proceeds will be used to purchase holiday gifts for students right here at KJHS.
Our school counselor, Mrs. Ingle, selects several students each year who are in need of essential items—not just wants—during the holiday season. My executive board and I then shop for these students (without knowing their names) and work hard to provide not only the necessities but also a few special wishes to make their holiday brighter.
You can help us make this season merry by either sending your child with money to purchase Candy Grams for $1 each, or by choosing to donate directly.

The KJHS Boys Basketball teams hit the road this evening for a conference matchup with the Titans. The 7th grade game begins at 5:30 pm and the games will be played at Monmouth-Roseville Jr. High - 200 E Gossett St, Roseville, IL 61472. Good luck and Go Bullets!
KJHS Volleyball tryouts for 7th and 8th grade girls were supposed to begin today, Monday, December 8. However, due to the success of the girls basketball team, we are postponing tryouts until basketball season is officially over. Here is the schedule as of today:
Monday, 12/8 - Open Gym (optional) at MWES 3:30 pm - 5:15 pm
Tuesday, 12/9 - Open Gym (optional) at MWES 3:30 pm - 5:15 pm
Wednesday, 12/10 - Open Gym (optional) at MWES 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm
IF the girls basketball team loses Wed. night, tryouts will be held Thursday and Friday from 3:30 pm - 5:15 pm at MWES.
IF the girls basketball team wins Wed. night, tryouts will be held at a later date and time.

They will now play for the Sectional Championship and a trip to IESA State on Wednesday, December 10 at 6:00 pm vs. Illini Bluffs. The game will be played at St. Philomena School in Peoria. We will take a fan bus for any students who would like to attend the game. It will be open to the first 50 students who sign up AND pay the $5 entry fee to the game. We collect this ahead of time so that students don't have to walk up and individually pay for entry to the game. Signups will begin tomorrow morning, Tuesday, December 9 in the KJHS office. Students who plan to attend will need money if they want to purchase anything from the concession stand. The bus will leave KJHS at 4:50 pm and we will send a notification when we depart from Peoria. Good luck and Go Bullets!!

The 8th Grade Girls Basketball Regional Semifinal game has been postponed to Thursday, December 4. Game time is still 5:30 pm and the game will still be played at St. Philomena School in Peoria. Girls basketball will practice tomorrow at KJHS from 5:15-7:00 pm. Go Big Blue!

December is right around the corner, and the KJHS Student Council has lots of exciting things happening!
