Parents, as we begin the school year, we want to make sure that students are safe as they leave at the end of each day. As a reminder, there is NO parking on Gilson St. while waiting to pick up students at KJHS. Parents should either wait in the JH parking lot or in the football field parking lot until the buses depart from the school. We have a number of students who walk home, as well as students crossing Gilson to go to the football field/athletic complex for practices, and we want to make sure they can get there without issue. If you have any questions, please call KJHS at 309-289-4126. Thanks and we are looking forward to a great school year!

KJHS Football - for 7th and 8th grade students - will begin practice on Monday, August 18. Practice will be after school from 3:30 - 5:00 pm. Interested students MUST have a physical/sports physical on file in the office and be registered through Snap! before practicing. First Day of School - Wednesday, August 13th, 2025
ALL students must be registered in Alma for the 25/26 school year. If you are unsure if your student(s) is registered, please call the school office and the secretary would be happy to assist you. Students entering Kindergarten, 5th and 9th grade MUST provide proof of residency before registration is considered complete.

Please remember that the 25/26 Alma registration is now open! The district asks that all families verify that their student(s) registration is complete. For returning students, parents/guardians must complete the 25/26 Alma Task and Forms under the student's name. If your student(s) is new to Knoxville CUSD #202 you need to complete Alma Start. If you have any questions regarding registration, please contact the school office on Monday, August 4th.

Registration
KJHS students in 6th-8th grade WILL be changing for PE each day and will need PE clothes to leave at school. Each student needs a gray t-shirt (NO v-necks, NO cutoff shirts) and black or navy shorts (appropriate length for exercise, NO spandex). This will not be needed on day one of school but will be needed shortly after classes begin. 5th grade students do not change for PE and will not need separate clothes.

KJHS Cross Country (for 5th-8th grade students) begins Monday, August 4. Practices for the week of August 4-8 will be from 8:30 am -10:00 am. Meet at the KHS Track each morning. Reminder that ALL students who wish to participate must register through Snap! and have a sports physical on file. Friendly Reminder

25.26 Registration Information

As a reminder, Snap (8-18) is now open. If your student is involved in any activity/athletics at KJHS they will need to be registered for those activities/athletics prior to participation. You may register for all activities/athletics your student may participate in for the 2025-2026 school year. Also, all student athletes will need a current physical on file with the school in order to practice and/or participate on the first day of practice.
