Attention all parents/guardians of 8th grade students: 8th Grade Promotion will be held this Thursday, 5/30/2024, at 7pm in the Knoxville High School Auditorium. Inter-state will begin taking individual photos at 6pm. Photos can be ordered online at inter-state.com/order using code 86602T. KJHS 8th grade students will leave tomorrow for Springfield at 8:00 am. Walkers and car riders should arrive at school by 7:50 am. Students should return to KJHS between 4:00-4:15 pm tomorrow afternoon.

Parents, if your student has a device and/or charger at home, please remind your child to bring them to school tomorrow. Knoxville High School will hold second semester finals on Wednesday, May 29 and Thursday, May 30, 2024. On Wednesday, May 29th finals will be conducted for all even numbered class periods, while on Thursday, May 30th finals for all odd-numbered classes will take place. If your student has a 2nd or 8th hour study hall on Wednesday, or 1st or 7th hour study hall on Thursday, they have the option to arrive late or leave early. Parents- you must contact the school to give permission to excuse your student from the relevant class. If students have a study hall in the middle of the day, they do NOT have the option to leave school and come back. If you have any questions, please contact KHS at 309-289-2324.
The Knoxville American Legion Auxiliary is providing poppies to each student tomorrow, Friday May 24th. We are accepting monetary donations tomorrow, and students will wear their poppies in honor of our fallen soldiers and veterans.
The KHS Student Council will sell Poppies for $1 Friday morning (May 24, 2024) to all students, faculty, and staff. Bring your dollar to school and wear your Poppy with pride along with red, white and blue clothing attire. All proceeds will help assist with veteran programs through the Knoxville American Legion Post #749.

The KJHS End of the Year Spirit Week starts this Thursday! Each grade level will compete to see who will win the Spirit Stick. Who will it be?

The KJHS Student Council is giving out Remembrance Poppies on behalf of the Knoxville American Legion Auxilary. We are also accepting free-will donations. 100% of the donations will be given to the Auxiliary to help local veterans. Thank you.

Congratulations to the KHS girls track team members that attended that state track meet in Charleston, IL The 4x800 relay team (Lauren King, Addison McKee, Emily King and Emmalyn Hensley) placed 9th and Alyssa Higgins placed 10th in the 3200.
