On Monday August 29, 2022 the Knoxville Board of Education voted on the approval of two interim Superintendents for the 2022-2023 school year. Martin Payne will be in the district for the fall semester and Ralph Grimm will be here for the spring semester.

We have received several calls regarding positive COVID cases. If your student has a fever, Fever (100ยฐF or higher), new onset of moderate to severe persistent headache, shortness of breath, new cough, sore throat, vomiting, diarrhea, new loss of sense of taste or smell, please keep them home. Please refer to the school's COVID page for more information.
All students attending school tomorrow must be registered and PAID IN FULL TODAY to attend. Please contact the building secretary to pay.

KHS band students - Uniform fitting will be Tuesday, August 16 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Parents, please plan on attending as well to meet Mr. Johnson, our new band director!

Please remember to register your child for school BEFORE the first day on Wednesday, August 17th. If you have not registered and paid for them, they will not be allowed to attend. Please contact your students building secretary with any questions.

Knoxville High School Open House will be Tuesday, August 16, 2022 from 5 to 7 p.m. We have several new teachers and administrators in our building; this would be an excellent time to meet them.

KHS Volleyball tryouts will be Monday, August 8, 2022. Varsity will be from 3 to 6 p.m. and JV will be from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m.

We're going nuts! Mable Woolsey will now be serving individually wrapped PB&J at lunch and will also allow nuts in students lunches. Please check your skyward inbox or mailbox for more information!

Online school registration will not open until August 1st. We are upgrading Skyward this week and will put out notifications when it is available.
Band camp the first week of August, the 1st-4th. Mr. Johnson would like to meet with the Juniors and Seniors on the 1st at 11 AM to chat about technique, procedures, leadership, etc. Should only take about an hour. All band members should attend band camp August 2nd-4th which will be 8am-3pm.

School lunches for the 22/23 school year will no longer be USDA free meals for all students. Free/ Reduced applications will be available on the Foodservice portion of the Blue Bullets Website. The form can be filled out right on the foodservice website or can be downloaded from the District web page. Filled out forms can be turned into the Food Service office at KHS.
Breakfast will be $2.00 per child at all buildings.

Students taking driver's ed first semester this coming school year will have the chance to take the permit test in July. The test will be held on Monday, July 18 at 6:00pm in Mr. Clevenger's room. Students will need a laptop of some sort to complete this. Phones will not work for the test. Students will enter the building through the doors on Ontario Street near Mr. Clevenger's room. The test will also be given once school begins but this will be the only early test available. To study, go to www.cyberdriveillinois.com and find the Rules of the Road. Any information from chapters 3-13 may show up on the test. The entire process should take no longer than 45 minutes to 1 hour.
