The KJHS Dance team heads to Ottawa tomorrow for a dance competition. The team is scheduled to dance at 10:52 am at Ottawa High School, 211 E Main St., Ottawa, IL 61350. The KJHS Wrestling team also hits the road, heading to Canton for the IMS Invitational. Matches begin at 9:30 am and will be held at Canton High School, 1001 N Main St., Canton, IL 61520. Best of luck to both teams - Go Big Blue!!
Lots happening at KJHS tomorrow and next week! During the day tomorrow, celebrate the Super Bowl with us by wearing either red for the Chiefs or green for the Eagles! Tomorrow night is the Valentine's Dance! 5:30-7pm for the 5th and 6th graders and 7:30-9pm for the 7th and 8th graders. $4 admission. We will also have pizza, baked goods, and drinks. There will be games in the commons area and dancing in the gym! All next week is Crush Rush! Send an orange, red, or purple Crush soda to anyone at the school for $2.
Due to the expected improving conditions, tonight's KJHS Volleyball game at home vs. Kewanee WILL be held as expected. The 7th grade game will begin at 5:30 pm. Additionally, there WILL be wrestling practice today from 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm. Thanks, stay safe until the ice melts, and Go Bullets!!

Happy National School Counseling Week! KJHS is fortunate to have an AMAZING school counselor - Mrs. Ingle! This week we would like to recognize and thank Mrs. Ingle for all of the time and effort she puts in to assist and encourage both students and staff at KJHS. Game time is 6:30 pm and the game will be held at Metamora Grade School, 815 E Chatham St, Metamora, IL 61548. KJHS Volleyball is also in action tonight at home vs. Orion. The game begins at 1:45 pm and will be held at Monmouth-Roseville Jr. High, 200 E Gossett St, Roseville, IL 61472. Wrestling is also in action at the Orion Invite. The KJHS Wrestling team hosts United, ROWVA, and Geneseo in a quad tonight beginning at 5:30 pm at KHS in Jensen Gym. The KJHS Girls Volleyball teams, meanwhile, head to Costa for a non-conference matchup. The 7th grade game begins at 5:30 pm. Congratulations to our 7th Grade Boys Basketball Team - REGIONAL CHAMPIONS! They fought hard last night in a solid 29-20 win over Sherrard. Next up is a trip to Metamora for a Sectional matchup with Metamora on Monday, 2/3 at 6:30 pm. Great job and good luck - Go Big Blue!
