Additional highlights include:
- 94.5% graduation rate, exceeding the Illinois rate of 89.8% and increasing from 92.8% last year.
- 93.4% student attendance, improving from 92.2% last year and exceeding the state rate of 92.1%.
These accomplishments reflect the daily efforts of our students, the dedication of our educators and support staff, and the partnership of our families and community.
As we celebrate, we are also looking ahead through our Portrait of a Graduate—our shared commitment to preparing every Blue Bullet for success in learning, work, and life.
Across classrooms, activities, and athletics, our goal is to give students meaningful opportunities to develop:
Communication: Listen thoughtfully, ask questions, and explain their thinking.

Mr. Winget was selected as a winner of the University of Chicago Outstanding Educator Award.
This award recognizes educators who make a meaningful impact on students' lives through thoughtful instruction, a passion for learning, and a commitment to supporting students both inside and outside the classroom.
Each year, newly admitted University of Chicago students have the opportunity to nominate an educator who played a significant role in their educational journey and helped shape who they are today. Mr. Winget stood out among the field. This recognition reflects the lasting influence teachers can have on their students.
The University of Chicago will recognize Mr. Winget and KHS on November 3, 2026.

Per the state of Illinois, student physicals and proof of immunizations are due BY OCTOBER 15. We have sent out letters and made phone calls if we are still missing something for your student. As we do not have school on October 15, these documents OR appointment reminders FROM THE PHYSICIAN can be turned in via email or fax OR must be in hand when your student comes to school Monday October 19th. If we do not have this documentation, the state requires that your student be excluded from school until one of these documents is received. Please email nurse@bluebullets.org with any questions.
