Illinois Association of School Boards recognizes school board members for individual time and effort devoted to learning and leadership activities provided by the Association and for service to the public education community. Individuals that earn Board Leader Recognition status are recognized at the IASB Spring Division Meetings.
Knoxville School Board Member, Rebecca McCracken was awarded the Annual Merit Recognition at the June 2025 Western Division meeting.
The program recognizes board members who engage in IASB activities beyond their local districts, through attendance at events and leadership functions. Within IASB, these include fall and spring Division Meetings, Division Governing Meetings, legislative meetings, and serving as a division officer or director. Additionally, Master Board Member designations can count participation in other national and statewide events, such as with NSBA, ISBE, state or federal government hearings, and at the Joint Annual Conference. Points are calculated automatically in IASB’s database through the event registration process.
The Annual Merit Recognition is awarded to member who have achieved Distinguished or Legacy status. Thank you, Mrs. McCracken for your time and dedication to the Knoxville School District.
