The State Budget impasse that has lasted for the last year ended yesterday when the State of Illinois passed a 12-month budget for schools, and a 6-month stopgap budget for the rest of the State of Illinois. The school budget includes additional funding that reportedly "fully funded" schools for the first time in several years. The Galesburg Noon and Sunrise Rotary Clubs are looking for at least one more host family that resides within the Knoxville school district to host a Rotary Youth Exchange student. The commitment would be to host the student for approximately three and a half months. It is also important that the family be prepared to accept the exchange student as a member of the family, not simply a guest. Youth exchange students . . .
Beginning Monday, June 13, the Main Offices in each of the District Schools will be closed until they re-open for the 2016-2017 school year on July 25. Beginning Monday, June 13, the District Office will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The District Office will resume regular hours (8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) on Monday, July 25.

Attention 2016-17 Knoxville High School Band Members and Parents the Marching band camp will be held August 3rd, 4th and 5th from 9am - 3pm at Knoxville High School. Lunch break will be held from 12:00 -12:45 each day. Camp will conclude with a beach party at Oak Run on August 5th starting at 3:00 pm. Thank you and we look forward to seeing you all there.
