Tompkins State Bank Donates $30,000 for Track Project

by Steve Wilder

October 01, 2011

When planning began for the new Track and Athletic Field, the Knoxville Board of Education wanted the project to be something that the community could be involved in and benefit from as much as the School District. That has happened in a variety of ways already, and at halftime of this year's Homecoming Football game, Tompkins State Bank demonstrated their willingness to be involved and help make the new facility a reality with a donation of $30,000. In return, the Concession Stand at the new Track and Football Field will be named the "Tompkins State Bank Concession Stand" with permanent signage to be placed there.

On behalf of the Board of Education and the entire Knoxville School District, we thank the good people at Tompkins State Bank for their support and involvement and we look forward to using the new "Tompkins State Bank Concession Stand" for many years to come.
