Chapter 1 and 2 TEST in Lab
1) Make a folder in your Computer Programming folder called “MySite”
2) All parts of this test should be saved to this folder and a backup copy to your jump drive.
3) The task of this test is to create a website for yourself. You should have two pages. Page 1 should be named “index.html” with a title “Susie’s Home”. (Change Susie to your name.) Page 2 should be called “Bio.html” with a title “About Me”. You should use the proper tags to create these pages. The background color is your choice but it cannot be white. The text color and link colors are your choice but should be easily read on the background color you have chosen.
4) Page 1 should contain your name in the largest size possible. Do not put identifying information like address or phone number. Identify your self as a KHS student in another size of type. You may include an email address if you wish.
5) Page 2 should also contain your name in the 2nd largest type possible. A short biographical paragraph (in a different size type) about you should follow your name.
6) Next make two lists. An ordered list with your KHS daily schedule and an unordered list containing your favorite foods, musical artists, sports teams or list of your choice. (School appropriate please) A title should appear above each list centered on the page. A horizontal rule should separate the lists. You must choose the width and size of the rule – do not let the browser use the defaults.
7) On Page 2, there should be a row at the top of the page naming the sections that appear on the page: Daily Schedule and List 2 (Change this one to fit your list.). Those names at the top of the page should be links to the lists lower on the page.
8) A link to page 2 should appear on page 1 near the top. A link to page 1 should appear somewhere on page 2. Page 2 should also contain a “Go to Top” Link.
9) The last item needed is a list of links to your favorite websites. The website address should not be seen when the page is viewed. For Example: The Chicago Cubs only displays the name of my favorite site, yet when clicked this link would go to the website.
10) Single space and double space tags should be used throughout page two so that your information is readable.
You will be graded on the appearance of all the requirements listed above (40 points) and the readability of your work (10 points).
When you are finished and have saved everything. From wordpad, print both files. From Internet Explorer, print both pages. Staple the four sheets together and give to Mrs. Goudie.
