The Knoxville High School Graduation Policy

 

All Seniors participating in the graduation ceremony must read and follow these rules:

I. Seniors must turn in their graduation contract in order to participate in the graduation ceremony.

II. All seniors must participate in the graduation practice in order to be in the graduation ceremony.

III. Students must have 24 credits in order to graduate.

IV. Behavior Expectations that must be met are as follows:

A. Yelling, name calling, or other verbal outbursts;

B. Possession or use of artificial noisemakers;

C. Possession or use of any device intended to disrupt the ceremony (i.e. sray confetti, spray string, fireworks, squirt guns, stink bombs, etc.)

D. Carrying or being carried in or out of the ceremony;

E. Throwing objects at any time;

F. Handing objects to a board member awarding the diplomas as a graduate receives a congratulatory handshake (marbles, gum, etc.)

G. Any other form or instance of behavior which causes a disruption of the graduation ceremony or puts the safety of any person in question.
